Children and Family aid registered association, Meißner Tafel

The Meißner Childern- and Family aid operates a "Tafel" in Meißen, where food is supplied to people in need. Bakeries, supermarkets, pharmacies, fruit and vegetable traders as well as private individuals support the project by delivering surplus food. They are picked up by the employees of the board and taken to a collection point with refrigeration and freezing facilities. The foodstuffs are then distributed to the needy in an outlet. Products include foodstuffs such as fruit and vegetables, bread, canned products, dairy products, bakery products, pastry products, juices, baby food, pasta, confectionery and drugstore products.
